19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt from that period of that year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my children together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," said tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the highest level was concluded.
However the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an better serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the final five games to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial professional victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
Moutet saved 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
